New Construction Sales Are Through The Roof!

New Home Sales IncreaseNew construction sales nationally rose 11% in June 2009, the largest increase since 2000. The rise in sales is far better than economists predicted. The big spike in June new home sales is highest in the Midwest and West. Locally, in Dayton, Ohio existing home sales rose in June 2009 also. The home sales increase is a good sign that the entire United States economy is turning around.

Homes For Sale in Dayton Ohio

Homes for sale in Dayton Ohio are increasing in price, so now is the time to buy! Both the May and June Real Estate Market Reports for single family, residential homes in Montgomery, Greene, and Warren counties near Wright Patterson Air Force Base in the Dayton Ohio area show rock bottom is a thing of the past. The average home sales price increased over $11,000 in June alone! Besides low price, taking advantage of the $8000 tax credit is another great reason to buy a home in the Dayton Ohio area.

Dayton Ohio Homes For Sale

So what’s going on in the Dayton Ohio area? For fun, The Greene in Beavercreek is great for dining out, watching a movie, laughing at a comedy club, or checking out the nightclub scene. Downtown Dayton there are many art galleries, especially in the Oregon District. Thai Nine is my favorite restaurant in the Oregon District, and I often have a glass of wine after dinner at the Wine Gallery and Cafe on 3rd Street. Brown Street, near the University of Dayton, is always filled with UD students in the restaurants and bars. The Shops of Oakwood along Far Hills Avenue is great for shopping for everything from groceries to pet supplies to clothing. You can get a bite to eat in the restaurants in Oakwood too. In Centerville, I highly recommend eating at Doubleday’s for great pizza! There are many shops, restaurants, and a movie theater surrounding the Dayton Mall in the area also.

Moving Can Cause Bad Childhood Memories

We moved six times before I was seven years old! Always having to say goodbye to friends was very traumatic growing up, but as soon as I learned my toys were moving with us I wasn’t as upset. It was a part of life with my father’s career. No, he wasn’t in the military – the automobile industry.

Significant life changes do usually result in relocation, making Realtors’ jobs very complex. Residential Relocation Specialists(RRS) are Realtors who are certified to handle moves due to life changes such as divorce, retirement, job gain/loss, military relocation, etc. A Realtor with a RRS certification is especially skilled in handling all the details for their clients, like familiarizing the clients with the new area, moving a vehicle, and connecting the utilities. Ultimately, drastic life changes can be very stressful, but working with a RRS can make the move much easier and give peace of mind.family

Hottest Flooring Trend is Green Frieze Carpeting

The newest trend in carpeting is all about texture, and home buyers either love it or hate it. The popular frieze (pronounced fre-zays) carpeting is a semi-shag, twisted yarn carpeting rumored to be named after the curly haired lap dog breed, Bichon Frisé.

Frieze Carpet Named After Bichon Dog  Frieze Carpet FYI

Frieze carpeting compliments all types of existing flooring. The carpet is great in high traffic areas because it will not show footprints and dirt as with other styles of carpet making it a good choice for investment properties. The texture is also very forgiving, easily hiding floor imperfections. Eco-friendly frieze carpeting is woven using an innovative 80% bamboo fiber / 20% cotton yarn blend with a 100% cotton backing. Another positive attribute of the green carpet alternative is the feel – softer and silkier than shag carpeting made of wool, cotton, or synthetic fibers. The price tag is cheaper than silk too! Friezes can also be found made with dye created from an eco-friendly solution that saves water. For a perfect marriage of trendiness, earth friendliness, and durability – choose frieze carpeting!
