FREE Ohio Festival

Go to a free Ohio festival on Saturday, September 26th at noon. The Fall Family Festival is held at Five Seasons Country Club, 4425 Possum Run Road in Dayton, Ohio near Bellbrook, Ohio. There will be kids games, hayrides, and a pumpkin patch. Oktoberfest in Dayton Ohio

Attend Oktoberfest in Dayton Ohio at the Dayton Art Institute located at 456 Belmonte Park North on Friday, September 25th – Sunday, September 27th. Oktoberfest is the largest fund-raising event for The Dayton Art Institute. Advance tickets are $4 for adults and seniors, $2 for students (ages 7-18), and free for children 6 and under. Tickets at the gate are $6 for adults, $4 for seniors (60+), $3 for students (ages 7-18), and FREE for children 6 and under. Friday Preview Party tickets purchased at the gate are $80. Ohio Weekend Festival

Attend an Ohio weekend festival on Friday, September 25th – Sunday, September 27th. The Old Timers Days Festival will be held at The Greene County Fairgrounds located at 120 Fairground Road in Xenia, Ohio. See authentic antique farm machinery, tractors, garden tractors, gas engines, and shop at the flea market.   • Kettering is a city in Greene and Montgomery Counties in Ohio.
  • Only a small portion of the city lies in Greene County.
  • It is a suburb of nearby Dayton.
  • Kettering is the largest suburb in the Dayton area.
  • The earliest resident, John Patterson, was a farmer who settled there in 1798.
  • In 1841, Van Buren Township was formed as the area grew.
  • The township was renamed in 1952 as the Village of Kettering.
  • Kettering was named for Charles F. Kettering, the inventor of the automobile self-starter.
  • On June 24, 1955, Kettering was incorporated and gained city status.
  • Charles F. Kettering resided in Kettering in his home, Ridgeleigh Terrace, from 1914 until his death in 1958.

  • It has a total area of 18.7 square miles.
  • There were 57,502 people, and 25,657 households at the time of the 2000 Census.
  • The median income for a household in Kettering was $45,051 in 2000.
  • The largest employers of residents in the area include: Kettering Medical Center – a hospital, Reynolds and Reynolds, GE Money – a division of General Electric, Limited Brands, The Berry Company – a subsidiary of Bellsouth which publishes the Yellow Pages directories and maintains its division headquarters in Kettering, and Wright Patterson Air Force Base.
  • The city population and area businesses continue to grow and expand due to the 2006 decision of the Base Closure and Realignment Commission, which is currently bringing thousands of new jobs to Wright Patterson Air Force Base until December 2010. 
  • Kettering is bordered by Dayton and Oakwood to the north; West Carrollton and Moraine to the west; Centerville and Washington Township to the south; and Beavercreek to the east.
  • Kettering has 20 parks totaling 284 acres. The Fraze Pavilion is a major outdoor entertainment venue that hosts the summer concerts of the Dayton Philharmonic.

Attend Blues Fest, a festival in Centerville, Ohio, this Labor Day weekend! Three bands will compete for the opportunity to return to Stubbs Park in 2010 to perform their own two-hour concert.Centerville Ohio Music Festival
