Cinderella Calls Dayton Ohio Home

Cinderella Calls

Dayton, Ohio home to the University of Dayton Flyers men’s basketball team secured the coveted title of the Cinderella fairytale team during March Madness last week with greater success than expected. The UD basketball program competes in NCAA Division I and the Atlantic Ten Conference.Dayton Flyers basketball fans, or better known as the Flyer Faithful, will cheer on the team tonight in the Sweet16. Since 2001, the UD Arena in Dayton, Ohio was home to the tournament’s play-in games, now the First Four. Tonight is the Flyers first trip to the Sweet 16 since 1984. President Obama didn’t choose UD as winners in his bracket, but he still Tweeted congrats. DaytonFlyer Jordan Sibert is a transfer from Ohio State who helped beat OSU and then hit a huge three-pointer to hold off Syracuse. Pierre and Smith are other stand-out players at UD. Looking forward to a Cinderella fairytale end for the Dayton Flyers….and they lived happily ever after (with advancement to the Elite Eight)!

Montgomery County Ohio Buyers May Have to Pick Up Water Tab With Policy Change

For property purchased within the Montgomery County Environmental Services service area, outstanding account balances used to be the responsibility of the new owner only if the debt had been liened to property taxes. Starting in 2014, property owners are responsible for the account balance, even if property ownership changes. Before closing, MCES recommends that prospective buyers review account balances to avoid facing unknown outstanding debt.

There are several options available:

1. Call MCES Customer Service at (937) 781-2688, Mon-Fri, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
2.    Send an e-mail inquiry to WaterServices@mcohio.org
3.    Fax an account inquiry to (937) 781-2687

MCES customer service representatives will provide the property account balances and a pro-rated final bill if needed.  Please provide as much notice as possible to ensure that our customer service staff can give you a timely response.

Additionally, buyers and sellers should call at least 48 hours in advance to change names on the water/sewer account for any property purchase.  Just contact customer service and provide your name, mailing address, and contact phone number. You may also be asked for proof of new ownership. Source http://www.dabr.com
